An unnamed Aglaopus species confined to but widely distributed in Sabah, near Striglina reversa (Warren, 1889:318) (not illustrated here). It is is in the NHM (Mi7302) and several other collections.
Description
22mm. The species is a rich reddish brown. The reticulated pattern is evenly distributed. The FW has a diagonal median line and a parallel submarginal line across the apex. The HW has a similar line from the costa to the middle of the termen. The costa is dark. A pale yellow variety has also been seen. Where the FW veins reach the termen there are tiny darker spots.
Distribution & Habitat
Sabah. Lowland primary & secondary forest; <600m.
Life History & Pest Status
This is probably the commonest thyridid captured at light in Danum Valley, Sabah.
