Taxonomy
The holoptype of Burathema divisa Walker, 1863 is from Sarawak.
This is the TS, by monotypy, of Burathema Walker 1863: 19.
Taxonomic placement uncertain.
Shaffer pers. comm. (and LepIndex) treats Burathema in the Crambidae: Spilomelinae but it may have been better to retain it in the Crambinae [Note the palpi]. -
Description
Wing Length: 11mm - 14mm. A distinctive brown and grey sp. FW with a curving diagonal band in white and dark brown running from the middle of the anal margin towards the wing tip. The HW has a dark brown basal line and a dark brown serrate post median line. Note the very long and distinctive porrect palpi.
