Genus Camadena

Type species: vespertilionis Moore ([1888] 1887): 214, pl. 7, fig. 13) by monotypy.  The type is from Darjeeling (= acutipennis (Moore [1888] 1887): 230, pl. 8, fig. 7) (Caustoloma), a junior subjective syn. (Hampson [1893] 1892: 367). 

Generic description: The palpi are porrect, reaching the vertex of the head. The male antennae are simple. The hind legs of the males are extremely long and swollen, a tuft of hair scales arising from the base, and the tarsi are very short (the legs are normal in females). The FW termen is acutely angular and produced at the apex (Moore, [1888] 1887:214).

Camadena is a small genus with an Oriental distribution from India to New Guinea. There are probably only three good species, of which only one occurs in S.E. Asia.
