Taxonomy

W. Malaysia, GTE. The holotype of Siculodes cuprea Pagenstecher, 1884:264 is from Amboina. Comb. n. (Shaffer & Nielsen, 1996). Syntype Pharambara costiscripta Warren, 1896a:209 from Australia (Q, McKay) is in the NHM (Mi7364). Syn. n. (Shaffer & Nielsen, 1996). Syn. Rhodoneura pagenstecheri (Dalla Torre, 1914:30) TL Amboina, unnec. repl. name (Shaffer & Nielsen, 1996).

Description

14mm. A small species with a dark brown reticulated pattern and no distinct fascia giving a blotchy appearance. Note the cream blotch two thirds along the FW Costa. No Bornean specimen seen but likely present given the known distribution.

Distribution & Habitat

W. Malaysia, Java, Ambon, Sulawesi, West Papua, PNG, Solomon Is., Bougainville, Australia (Q). Lowland to lower montane forest; <1200m.
