  • Taxonomy

    The holotype of Authaeretis eridora Meyrick, 1886: 252 is from Fiji.

    Ms Syn. Prorodes mimica Swinhoe, 1894b: 205. TL Borneo, Pulo Laut;

    ms syn. Notarcha triparalis Warren, 1896f: 102. TL Khasias [India, Meghalaya] (=Prorodes leucothyralis Mabille (= P. mimica Shaffer et al., 1996);

    ms syn. Idiostrophe albipunctata Warren, 1896: 133 TL Australia (Mackay) (=Prorodes leucothyralis Mabille, 1900 LepIndex) (= P. mimica Shaffer et al., 1996);.

    ms syn. Prorodes leucothyralis Mabille, 1900: 746; TL Madagascar; LepIndex.

    Here we suggest that the genus Idiostrophe Warren should be considered as syn. with Authaeretis Meyrick, 1886 and Prorodes Swinhoe (syn. with Authaeretis by Shaffer et al. 1996) Several Prorodes spp. are here allocated to Authaeretis and most should be considered as ms syns. of Authaeretis eridora Meyrick.
