  • Taxonomy


    The holotype of Pareromene hobbyi Gaskin, 1975 (: 198, figs. 10, 27, 28), TL Sarawak (Mt Dulit), is in the NHM.

    Comb n. to Glaucocharis Meyrick, 1938 (Gaskin, 1985: 20).

  • Description


    Wing length : 6mm. As in all Glaucocharis spp. the FW is distinctly bifalcate. It is boldly and distinctively marked in brown, orange and white. The postmedian area is crossed by a dark edged pale line and there is a wide white median band. Above the tornus are two large diffuse dark spots. The HW is mainly a uniform pale grey but it has a white submarginal fascia and a blackish marginal line. The fringes are long and white.
