  • Taxonomy


    The male holotype of Oligostigma bilinealis Snellen, 1876: 196, pl. 8, fig. 1 from India is in the Transvaal Museum.

    syn. bilineale Hampson, 1896 (misspel.).

    Comb. n. to Parapoynx (Yoshiyasu, 1985a).

  • Description


    Wing length: 7mm. A common lowland sp. with horizontal brown white and fulvous markings on both wings and with pale submarginal and post median FW fasciae. The termenal areas are mainly orange with black marginal dashes on the HW. See Agassiz (1978) and Yoshiyasu (1985: 75) for full descriptions.
