  • Taxonomy


    Authaeretis sp. 2 a single damaged specimen from Sabah (PHS) in the Schulze Coll.

  • Description


    Wing Length: 11mm. The brown FW has a white reniform mark and both wings have pale postmedian lines which are indistinct with pale patches anteriorly on the FW. See Authaeretis sp. 1 which is very similar and may be conspecific. Schulze (2000) taxon #955.

    See Protonoceras spp. which differ in the shape and smoothness of the FW post median line. Some Herpetogramma spp. such as H. pseudovialis (Hampson) and H. luctuosalis (Guenée) are similar and may be misplaced in Herpetogramma.
