Taxonomy
N. Sulawesi, Sangir. The holotype of Striglina atrata Whalley 1976 is in the NHM (Mi7289), genitalia slide #13593. TL Sulawesi (Koelawi, Paloe) (Whalley, 1976:52-53, Fig’d).
Description
32-35mm.
There is considerable variation in the background color which ranges from a pale ochreous brown to darker reddish brown. A specimen seen from Sangir was very pale and may be an undescribed ssp. There is a broad darker diagonal stripe crossing both wings to the FW apex and an obvious orbicular spot. The females are slightly larger.
