  • Taxonomy


    Chalcidoptera pryeri Hampson, 1898: 665, pl. 1 fig. 1. The holotype, from Sabah (Sandakan), is in the NHM.

  • Description


    Wing Length: 10mm. Sexually dimorphic. The red males closely resemble Chalcidoptera emissalis (Walker, [1866] 1865) but the wing shapes are different. The association of male and female in many Chalcidoptera spp. needs confirmation.
